Testimonies & Thank Yous
Last summer our 20 member mission team embarked on a new adventure to Asheville, NC and the Timothy Project. Our team consisted of a multigenerational group ages 12 to 84. What an amazing experience! Cliff and his staff organized half of the group to work on an elderly woman's home and the other half of the group provided VBS at a housing project and worked at the local food bank. The entire week was very well organized from the tools and specific jobs to the meals and entertainment each evening. It was the most organized mission trip we have ever been on! At the worksite we filled an entire dumpster with soggy furniture and debris, reconstructed a bathroom floor, repaired a hole in the ceiling, fixed the cement steps, power washed her home and decks, moved a mailbox, installed a stove range and doggie door and built a beautiful relationship with an 82 year-old widow. She declared us God's angels sent especially to her.
The VBS was a multicultural experience and involved several of our youth and a few "youthful" adults who brought the love of Christ to children in a low socioeconomic area. Our mission team enjoyed the evenings filled with mountain- top picnics, BBQ & Blue Grass, Sliding Rock, Fun Depot and white water rafting! Most importantly, the love of Christ was evident throughout the week from the staff of Timothy Project to our recipients to our mission team Praise God for such a blessed week!

Our youth group had the pleasure of traveling to Mars Hill, North Carolina this summer (2011) to participate in a mission trip through The Timothy Project. We had an amazing experience! I cannot say enough about the outstanding work of Cliff and his intern in organizing and facilitating our week. We had a variety of work projects serving 3 families and several different organizations. Our youth had the opportunity to work with their hands, interact with many different people, and truly experience Christ in our midst. I highly recommend The Timothy Project for groups of all sizes and ages! We would love to work Cliff and his staff again in the future! The Timothy Project is an organization that is truly sharing God's light and love in the communities they serve.
